It expands external communication interfaces for the whole rack: RS232/RS422 serial communication port for connecting configuration software, TDXnet transient data processor and upper monitoring host; meanwhile leads out rack reset switch, alarm inhibit, system OK relay and trip multiply hard contact signals, realizing unified rack configuration, system status output and remote management of the entire TSI monitoring frame. This rear card does not participate in core protection interlock logic of vibration/overspeed channels; even if RIM fails, protection modules still execute local alarm and trip output normally.
