Function: This module must be fitted into Slot 1 adjacent to the dual power supply slots of every 3500 rack, with one unit required per rack. Serving as the core communication hub of the entire chassis, it retrieves data from all vibration, overspeed, relay and communication modules via the rack backplane bus. It enables parameter downloading, real-time data reading, alarm record retrieval and system event log access through official configuration software. It supports connection with TDXnet transient data processors for waveform capture and links upper-level monitoring hosts via serial protocols.This module does not belong to the safety protection loop. Even when the RIM is faulty or removed, all monitoring modules will still execute local alert and danger alarm outputs as well as hardwired trip signals without interfering with unit safety interlock.
